As Ive recently and joyously returned to being an active (albeit, armature artist) following my I-have-no-idea-how-long hiatus, I am officially vowing to clean up my deviant art submissions. I cherish dearly every sketch, every illustration and montage Ive ever composed, for those are the pieces that have allowed me to hone my skill to the level it is today. I wont remove all the old pieces and will likely update many submissions with new artwork. I believe its important for all artists to look back at our old work, as messy, imperfect, disproportional and poorly coloured as it may be and remember, without those pieces, you wouldnt have any new ones.
No matter how terrible you think your art is, remember its the passion, effort, imagination and concept which goes into it that really counts. Be proud to be an artist expressing themselves, no matter what you do and what skill level you find yourself at!
